SOME ORIGINAL PLATES
The
Lorenzo Tedeschi's
negatives collections is composed by glass plates in “silver bromide gelatine” of
various sizes (13x19 – 9x12 – 9x9) utilized with home-made cameras using optics made by “C.P. Goerz
from Berlin”.
The Scriattoli, in his well-known book “Viterbo and its monuments”,
published many pictures taken by the Lorenzo Tedeschi collection. The following is a photographic sequence of pictures procuded
by Lorenzo Tedeschi which give us a real
proof of the days gone by.
VITERBO – "Piazza Fontana Grande
- market of the hamp (dated 28th April 1895)". (negative on glass photographic
plate 13X18 in silver bromide gelatine).

(the gelatine in the plate is ruined probably due to
poor manufacturing at that time).
Below the same imagine printed in
1885 by Lorenzo Tedeschi him self, being glass plate in good
order
